Tinting Glass since 1988
Owner, Paul Mello, Jr., graduated from Northeastern University in 1987 with a BS in Criminal Justice.  After reviewing all the offers of being an "employee" he realized his best offer was to become a business partner with Environomics (a specialty construction company focused on sunrooms).  In 1988 Paul Mello established Glass Tinting Specialist in Fairhaven Massachusetts as one of only 2 window tinting companies in the area. GTS soon became the popular name for Glass Tinting Specialists and many happy customers contributed to the growth of the company. From the beginning GTS has installed solar control & security window film on cars, trucks, motor homes, buildings, homes, and boats. 

In 1991 GTS was requested to handle all the window tinting for Exceltronics because they lost their installer, after establishing a great business relationship with Exceltronics GTS moved their location to the Exceltronics building on rte. 6 in Fairhaven. In 1994 GTS Auto Sales was established at the rte.6 location. In 1995 Exceltronics closed its business and GTS took over the garage area of the building and continued offering glass tinting and auto sales.

Paul Mello attended the 2002 SEMA Show in Las Vegas where he negotiated with manufactures & distributors of automotive accessories to become a retailer of such products as; rainguards, wood dash kits, brush bars, etc..
     Tommy Ferreira of 2LoudAudio has joined the installation team at GTS. Tommy graduated from RITOP and became an MECP certified installer of auto electronics. March of 2004 GTS began offering sales and installations of auto alarms, stereos, and mobile video.
     2004 also became the year GTS became an authorized dealer of Vento Motorcycles, Scooters, and ATVs. Adding to the motorsport retailing line GTS became an authorized retailer of Bladez Powerboards and Karts.
     GTS installers have attended yearly training seminars to stay up to date on new products and installation techniques to better serve their customers and the business.
The Tint-Pro division prides itself on completing quality residential and commercial window film installations. Tint-Pro is an active member of the IWFA (International Window Film Association).
In 2005 Paul Mello decided to invest in a Graphtec 40" plotter and Llumar Precision Cut software which allows us to cut exact patterns of individual auto windows resulting in quicker installations plus the ability to cut paint protection film for the front of vehicles.
GTS Tint-Pro is now an authorized dealer of Panorama Film which is one of the highest quality producers of architectural window films in the world www.panoramafilm.com. In March of 2008 Paul Mello attended the Panorama annual dealer meeting in San Diego, CA, the 3 day meeting consisted of a Factory tour explaining the manufacturing process, classroom training sessions, product demonstrations and much more.
